Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall was the special guest of honour at the Lordship Lane vaccination centre on Wednesday 7 April, as the site approaches the 50,000th vaccination mark.
The Duchess met with NHS staff, volunteers and Haringey residents getting their vaccines at the site where she saw first-hand how the centre is engaging with the local community to combat vaccine hesitancy.
Her Royal Highness was also shown how to prepare a vial of the COVID-19 vaccine on the visit.
Dr Russell Hearn, clinical lead at the site, said: “We were delighted to welcome Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Cornwall to celebrate the milestone of 50,000 COVID-19 vaccinations from Lordship Lane Primary Care Centre.
We’ve worked closely with our local communities to get as many people as possible the best protection from this dreadful virus, and it’s an honour to have the team’s hard work recognised.”
