First vaccine doses delivered to all NCL older people’s care homes

We have now delivered first doses to all older people’s care homes in North Central London. The completion of these first jabs will save lives and has been delivered through partnership working across primary care, community services and councils.

Fantastic partnership work is continuing across all five boroughs to ensure that the first four priority patient cohorts receive their first vaccinations by mid-February.

We now have five teams working as roving vaccination teams, supporting high-priority vaccinations, for example, in care homes and for housebound residents. Yesterday a new pharmacy-led site also went live at the Arc Centre in Islington, offering residents another easily accessible venue to get their jab. A big thank you to CCG staff working with Primary Care Networks (PCNs), pharmacy and community teams and local authorities to coordinate this important work.

Large scale vaccination centres at the Francis Crick Institute and Hornsey Health Centre went live on the national booking system this week, with Enfield’s Dugdale Centre and the Islington Business Design Centre coming online in early February.
